Picturing Places

Personalised map prints

Where you met, made into a personal map print.

A café, a street, a whole city. Turn the place where your story began into a personalised map print, framed or unframed, for the person who remembers it with you.

A place only you would choose

Which beginning feels like yours?

It needn’t be the most famous place in your story. Choose the one that brings back a particular moment when you both see it.

The first meeting

The street outside a friend’s house, the campus, the café. A close view can keep the surrounding streets recognisable without putting a private address in the title.

The first date

The neighbourhood where you spent an evening together. Leave a little room around the location for the walk, the river or the streets you remember.

The first kiss

A familiar corner or the city where things changed. The map can hold the place; a short caption can hold the part only you know.

Start with a look you love

Your place. Your way of seeing it.

Two designs from the Picturing Places collection. Your print can use your own location, style and wording; these examples show city labels.

Portrait Paris map with dark streets, a pale blue Seine, and city and coordinate labels at the top
Paris: a city name and coordinates keep the composition simple.
Portrait Athens map in muted green and blue with a handwritten-style city label at the bottom
Athens: a softer palette and a different arrangement of the labels.
Choose your own place

The words underneath

A few words are enough.

Use a short main label, then a name, place or date beneath it. These are starting points to adapt, not text you have to keep.

  • Where we met
  • Where it all began
  • The beginning of us
  • Our story started here
  • Our first hello
  • One place. Two lives.
  • The first of many walks
  • Always this place

Example wording only. Keep, change or remove any of the three label lines in your print design.

Make it yours

From a memory to a print.

  1. Find the place

Search for a city, neighbourhood or address. Check the result, then adjust the view: closer for a familiar street, wider for a city or coastline.

  2. Choose the style and words

Explore the palettes and layouts. Edit the main label, second label and coordinates or personal-text line. Use names, a meaningful date or a short caption.

  3. Choose your print

Select from the available framed or unframed options in the creator. Check the preview, spelling and date before ordering.

A physical print to keep

Framed

Your map and its frame, chosen together as a finished piece.

Unframed

The artwork on its own, for a frame that suits their home.

Available sizes, finishes and prices are shown in the creator.

A few useful details.

Can I choose an exact address?

Start by searching for the place in the creator, then adjust the map view. Search results and map detail vary by location. If a street or venue is not found, search for the nearby town or neighbourhood and check the preview before ordering. You can also type an address as a label.

Can I change the names, date and wording?

Yes. Print designs have three editable label lines. Replace the default place and region with your own words, add a date, or leave a line blank. Keep the main label short and check how the text fits in your chosen layout.

Can I keep the coordinates?

Yes. The third line can show automatic coordinates or your own text. You can reset it to coordinates in the creator. If you want the coordinates of one exact spot, verify them before using them as personal text.

Does this work as an anniversary gift?

A where-we-met print is a way to mark the beginning while celebrating everything since. You might add your first-meeting date or a simple anniversary message; it does not need to include every milestone.
