Why we make this

Something beyond the screen.

We spend much of our days looking through glass at things that disappear when the screen turns off. Picturing Places is our small move in another direction: using software to make something physical.

A print with a place in a room. Something you can hold, frame, move and keep. And a map of somewhere real: the town where you grew up, a favourite village, the city where you met. A place that matters to you, given a physical place in your home.

Framed or unframed?

An unframed print leaves you free to choose a frame of your own. A framed print pairs the artwork with a frame as one finished piece.

Can I create a print as a gift?

Absolutely. A hometown, a shared journey, or the place you first met can become a personal gift.

Can I choose any place?

Search for a city, region, specific address, or landmark, then adjust the map until it captures the place as you remember it.

Can I preview my print before ordering?

Yes. We show you a live preview as you choose your place, style, text, and finish, so you can review your design before checkout.

Which countries do you deliver to?

For now, we deliver to Austria, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, and Sweden. We are always working to reach more places. If your country is not yet included, you can let us know and ask for a one-time email when delivery opens.

Are the prints made to order?

Yes. Each print is produced for your order rather than held as pre-printed stock. This avoids unsold inventory and helps reduce overproduction.

What materials are used?

The prints use sustainably sourced 200 gsm Enhanced Matte fine-art paper and water-based inks. The wood used in framed and hanger presentations is sustainably sourced too.

How is my print packaged and delivered?

We avoid plastic where practicable and prioritise recyclable, biodegradable, or recycled-content packaging. Exact packaging varies by product, size, and production location.
